Kalamkari or qalamkari is a type of hand-painted or block-printed cotton textile produced in parts of India and Iran. Its name originates from the the Persian words for pen (qalam) and craftsmanship (kari). Because of the way in which it is produced, Kalamkari patterns vary in design from batch to batch. Our Elephant Herd, Buddha and Mudra Secret Pillows may vary slightly from the image shown.
The Kalamkari 1 to 6 SAMPLE Secret Pillows are available as pre-orders. By ordering a SAMPLE Secret Pillow you are enabling a woman join our maker network. This range will be made by a group of women in India who have just joined our project. For more details about the concept of our project, click here.
